Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2025

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones TrailOps uses, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time so you don't have to re-enter them every time you visit, or to understand how you use the service.

Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage and pixel tags — work in a comparable way. This policy covers all of them collectively under the term "cookies".

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the TrailOps platform to function. They cannot be disabled.

Functional cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience.

Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how users interact with the platform so we can improve it. All data is aggregated and anonymised — no individual usage patterns are sold or shared with advertisers.

Cookies we do not use

TrailOps does not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Third-party cookies that track you across other websites
  • Fingerprinting or device-identification techniques beyond standard analytics

3. Third-party cookies

When you access the TrailOps marketing site (trailops.co), Google Analytics may set cookies described in the table above. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. No analytics cookies are set inside the app itself (app.trailops.co) without your consent.

4. Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below take you to the relevant instructions for major browsers:

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing into TrailOps. Disabling functional cookies means your preferences (theme, language, sidebar state) will not be saved between sessions.

5. Cookie consent

When you first visit trailops.co, we display a cookie consent banner. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies at that point. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent as they are required for the platform to function under the legitimate interests basis of the NDPR and NDPA.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation or our own practices. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
